With a nod to the classics... it makes sense to stay grounded

Recently Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley was quoted as saying “Too many career women look like a herd of fashion beasts, aping one another in impractical shoes.” It seems that for many of us the necessity of squeezing into a torturous heel has lost it's appeal and definitely it's practicality. For the thousands of women stepping out of the office, creating their own businesses, juggling meetings, lattes and parent nights, while still trying to maintain some sense of style, heels are often the last resort. Before finally caving and pairing your skinny jeans with Keds, how many of us cling to those stilettos as our final style statement? "We will not go quietly into the night!"

Well, ladies, problem solved... Let's reminisce now into how many meetings we've been to and jealously stared at our male counter-part's stylish Oxfords while we hobbled over to get a Coffee refill in our one size two small Prada pumps. Who said we can't wear the Oxfords? Probably the same people that said we couldn't wear the pants. This season Seditionaire begins a collaboration with New York based label Dieppa Restrepo, a line specializing in traditional men's style shoes for women. Already having taken their home city by a storm the ladies behind the label hold fast to the motto of when you have your life to lead, "who has the energy for heels?"

We couldn't agree more! Finally available in Canada at a few select boutiques, make sure you leave some room in your closet for a few pairs of these... and trust me, you're going to want to make that room in the first row!
